Truth Tables - Economics Dictionary of Arguments
Truth tables, logic, philosophy: Truth value tables or truth tables are tools for the characterization of logical links or the evaluation of logical statements that contain these links. In the simplest case, the links "and" and "or" are examined for two atomic partial statements a and b to be linked. For a and b, the possible truth values, in the divalent case therefore "true" and "false”, are used. The table shows that for the truth of "a and b" both sides must be true, while for the "or" case the truth of only one side is sufficient._____________Annotation: The above characterizations of concepts are neither definitions nor exhausting presentations of problems related to them. Instead, they are intended to give a short introduction to the contributions below. – Lexicon of Arguments.
